General Heath Awareness
Wash your hands often (use anti-bacterial wipes)
Only drink bottled or boiled water
Don't eat dairy products (unless cooked)
Don't eat raw fruit or vegetables (peel them first)
Don't go barefoot (Use slippers)
Don't pet stray animals
Don't swim in lakes or rivers
Don't swallow water in the shower
Medicine (Prescription):
Make sure you have all prescription medicine you need
Carry 'double' what you will need so if some gets lost - or your trip
gets extended, you will not run out.
Bring a copy of your prescription - it might be fillable
Send a copy to the EDGE to have on file if needed to overnight
Medicine (over-the-counter) to bring:
It is very common to experience diarrhea, upper respiratory infection,
sore throat and headaches. While you can get many medicines in the field, it is good to carry a few days
supply with you.
